Marriage License Application:
You and your future spouse must appear together at our office with valid government issued photo ID to complete your order.
Marriage Appointment Requests:
A credit card is required at checkout. Requests will be processed within 4-5 business days.
Birth, Death, or Marriage Copy Orders:
Additional mailing and handling fees may apply, see copy order form(s) for fees and processing times.
The application is not fully processed by web due to the requirements for original signatures and notarization.
Certified AUTHORIZED vital copy request: you must appear in person at one of our office or print the application and take it to a Notary Public to complete sections 6 and 7 and return to Clerk-Recorder by mail or fax (email is not accepted).
Certified INFORMATIONAL vital copy request: you must appear in person at one of our office or print and sign in Box 3 on the application and return to Clerk-Recorder by mail or fax (email is not accepted).
Document Copy Requests:
Document copy orders (Official Records & Fictitious Business Names) will be processed within 10 Business days. Certified copies will be mailed. Regular copies may be mailed, or emailed (upon request). If you would like your copy order emailed, please send a request to Clk-RecHelpDesk@co.santa-barbara.ca.us within 24 hours of placing the order. In the Subject enter “Copy Order Request, [your order #].”
