• With this application, you are applying for a marriage license issued pursuant to Family Code Section 359.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older. Neither minors nor emancipated minors may purchase a confidential marriage license, even with their court order of emancipation.
• Both parties must be present.
• The parties must declare under penalty of perjury that they have been living together as spouses.
• A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, is required to verify age and identity.
• If either party has a previous marriage/SRDP that ended within the last 90 days, they must present proof of the dissolution or nullity.
• The marriage license can be used immediately and it must be used within 90 days from the date of issuance.
• The ceremony must take place within the State of California.
